Anya, Darya, and Nina were rescued along with two male bunnies after they had been neglected outside in a backyard where they were being fed chicken feed and living with dogs. Shortly after we rescued them, we realized they're a bonded trio! They feel safer and more comfortable being together, especially after all they have been through, so now they'll never be apart. These three girls are spayed and microchipped. They are becoming more comfortable in their foster home every day. They've even been doing binkies and splooting; clear signs that they feel safe and comfortable. Nina and Anya are Mini Rex adult bunnies, and Darya is a Rex-mix senior bunny. Merida is a young and friendly female bunny who is looking for a special indoor adoptive home! 🐰❤️🏡 Merida was rescued from outside a manufacturing plant in Richmond earlier this year. She was behind a chain link fence but wiggled her way out after a while to come to a volunteer for snacks and pets. 🐇🍌 Merida was recently spayed, and during her spay we learned that she has a healed back leg break. The way that her leg healed is causing issues with her joints. For now, Merida is on anti-inflammatory pain meds long-term, but the vet recommends a rear leg amputation within the next few years. 😔❤️‍🩹 Merida needs a home that is willing to accommodate her needs. She will need daily medications, soft bedding and flooring, and an eventual amputation. We are worried that Merida will have a hard time finding a home that is willing to adopt a bunny who is both a ruby-eyed white (REW) and permanently disabled. She is an affectionate and beautiful bunny who doesn't mind being held, and loves her fresh greens. She's just as deserving as any other bunny. 🐰💖✨
